Even in the years when I didn’t create I was still an artist, I’ve always been and artist. Fifteen years ago I realized in order for me to be happy my desire to create must be fulfilled. Since then I do not to take anything I see for granted. People, places, and things are now seen in their proper light and form and not restrained by reality but delving into the surreal dimensions. For more than 10 years I kept my artwork based in reality, life put on paper, until my mind began to wonder into history and putting together all aspects of a singular event or person in one big surreal painting in my minds eye.
