I realized that in order to be happy my desire to create must be fulfilled. Nothing I see is taken for granted. People, places, and things are now seen in their proper light and are no longer restrained by reality’s preconceived notions. For more than 10 years, I kept my artwork based in reality—life put on paper—until my mind began to wander into history and put together all aspects of a singular event or person in one big surreal painting in my mind’s eye.....
